What’s coming next: Merchant Podcast

We are also gearing up for our merchant podcast.

Distribution is everything in the Shopify ecosystem.

The long-term plan is to build a strong audience of e-commerce merchants around The SaaS Hub. So when it’s time to give a shout-out to you, your app, or your agency, the right merchants are already paying attention. We already have 5 merchants lined up, and a few of them are also featured on Shark Tank, so you know we are talking to the right folks.

That is the goal. Build the audience first, then help the ecosystem win with it.

To do that, we need to work together and get this YouTube channel moving.

Quick caution for Shopify app founders running Shopify App Store Ads with plan-based targeting:

Not sure if you know, but plan-based targeting is a Built for Shopify-only feature. If your BFS status changes (even temporarily), those campaigns may stop being eligible to serve as intended.

Do this the same day your BFS badge changes:

  • Check delivery metrics (impressions/spend), not just whether the campaign is enabled

  • Pause plan-targeted campaigns if delivery drops

  • Keep a backup campaign that doesn’t rely on plan targeting

  • Remember: you can edit plan targeting, but you can’t remove it from an existing campaign, so the fallback is usually a new campaign
